🚀 The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to oversee and grow our presence across both brands. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you’ll manage our META platforms (Facebook, Instagram), corporate LinkedIn, and other channels to amplify USMP’s content and connect with the military community.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy targeting growth among key demographics for both brands.
- Curate and post engaging content across USMP’s social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including DOD leadership, advertisers, influencers, and potential advertisers.
- Monitor social performance; evaluate metrics and recommend strategies for improvement based on audience engagement and monthly KPIs.
- Create original videos, reels, and carousel posts tailored to each platform’s strengths.
- Coordinate and host livestream events, including client-sponsored and organic sessions.
- Attend meetings and contribute insights on social campaign performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Editor-in-Chief or Publisher.
✅ Requirements
- Associate’s degree and at least 3 years of professional experience in digital and social media marketing.
- Proficiency in META platforms, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, WordPress, and e-blast campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create high-quality videos, reels, and carousels for social media platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Openness to constructive feedback and commitment to continuous self-improvement through training and professional development.
📅 Employment Details
- Part-Time, Remote: Up to 20 hours per week (prior approval required for additional hours).
- Hourly Rate: $27.50/hour.
